Our Annual Golf Play Day is an important and fun event on our fund raising calendar.

There are many ways to make a donation, all of which are tax deductible.

Your support helps

As the most experienced hospice in Northern Illinois, we have relied over the years on thousands of friends to help us with financial support.

Our hospice services are covered by reimbursements from Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and private pay. We provide hospice care for all who qualify, no matter their payment source. In most cases the reimbursements cover approximately two-thirds of the actual cost of our services. This leaves us with a shortfall of about one third of our operating budget, and this shortfall can only be met through charitable donations, and fund raising events.

Your charitable donation is tax deductible as allowed by law, and will ensure quality services for the hundreds of patients in our care each year.

Memorial gifts

Remembering a friend or loved one by making a gift to us in his/her name is one way to contribute to our work. Every year hundreds of people are memorialized by those who cared about them, and these gifts provide important dollars for our operations.

Honor gifts

These gifts are a way of celebrating a living person, perhaps by remembering their birthday or anniversary, special accomplishment or event in their life.

Unrestricted gifts

When you make an unrestricted donation, your contribution helps us bridge the gap between our reimbursed expenses and the actual costs of providing services.

Restricted gifts

You may be interested in supporting a specific program or part of our services.

If this is the case, you can restrict your gift to benefit that particular interest you have in our work.

In-kind gifts

Donations of equipment, supplies, services, and fund raising event prizes can be given throughout the year, and like cash gifts, are tax deductible. Please call our office at 815-398-0500 for information on what specific needs you may be able to help us with.

Helping to underwrite one of our programs or events is a way that your company can contribute to our work, while receiving visibility for your business.

Matching gifts

Many corporations match employees’ gifts to nonprofit organizations. Check with the management of your company to find out if your gift to us can be doubled through their support.

Stock gifts

Donating mutual fund shares or marketable stocks that have increased in value can create a meaningful tax deduction for you, and provide a significant gift to our organization. Please see your professional advisor before making this kind of donation.

NEW! Jewelry and vehicle gifts

Thanks to the partnership of two local businesses, we are now accepting gifts of jewelry and vehicles.
